Motivation

Worrying about something is like putting yourself through it twice.

I think that one of the main motivations behind my project was my dislike for meditation. I LOVE the idea of being able to clear my mind and suddenly feel more aware, but I cannot seem to do that. The idea of mindfulness instantly resonated with me and has been a large influence on my choice to make this project. 

I also think that social media has been something that people have acknowledged as toxic for such a long time, but we can't seem to move away from that urge to consume time. The idea of transforming the intent that we have on mobile devices is a great way to encourage habit building. It is convenient and something that already demands a great deal of time in our daily lives. 

Everybody can benefit from mindfulness which is one of the best qualities of this practice. With the various studies that have been done, even children are being exposed to these ways of thinking. After discovering the associations that we have created there is the opportunity to dismantle and re consider new and more beneficial thought patterns.
